lessons learned from mary babiera

I’ve posted this status on my Facebook wall last October 9 1:48 PM:

“hayy.. bakit ganun? kapag may birthday siya, binabati nilang lahat ung taong un! kapag ako naman ang may birthday, hindi nila ako binabati! yan ang hirap pag hindi mo close ang tao! nakakainis eh.. life is so unfair on soft-spoken people like me! tsk! aral lang, Nitz, don’t mind them.. :|”

…and then I asked some of my close and trusted friends to reply on my status. Only Mary Babiera and Lia Rose Jayona replied to my status. Here’s the conversations!:

Lam mo, haha. I feel like that sometimes.:| Pero ang masasabi ko lang sa’yo don’t compare yourself with that person. Pramis, mas magiging lonely ka lang.:]

yeah, nung wednesday kasi birthday ng classmate ko.. ang dami kasing bumati sa kanya! nakakainggit talaga.. nung last birthday ko kasi, oonti lang bumati sa akin sa mga schoolmates ko, alam mo naman yung iba hindi ko ka-close kaya hindi nila ako binati.. feeling ko nga nun, parang wala lang sa iba (ung hindi ko ka-close) yung birthday kahit narinig pa na binati ako ng friend ko! ung tipong “ahh birthday ba nya? I don’t care..” yung nasa isip nila! kainis..

oh well.. sabi mo nga dati sakin, I can’t please everyone.. even those few who greeted me, at least merong bumati kaysa sa wala.. still it’s better if there’s many.. thanks sa advice!

Sure I doubt that it really helped you. Pero that’s what I do when I feel that way. I want to share this quote with you:

“No life is a waste. The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone”. That’s from “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” You should read it. It’s worth reading At I remembered reading something in one of the applications here in Facebook. I don’t remember the actual words, but it goes something like when people are in misery they tend to dwell on the 10% misery and forget about the 90% blessing

oh I see.. sino author ng book na yan? mahilig din ako pumunta sa National Bookstore pag break time, but I read computer books instead, pero minsan dumadalaw ako sa mga ibang book sections! sige I’ll read it if I can find it on Monday, wala naman akong pasok tom and on Sunday.. misery means extreme unhappiness pala, don’t know that, pero I know it’s something about sadness, tama ka! and you’re right, some people continue to feel/have misery rather than thinking about the blessing, and I’m like that! well, I’ll just forget about it and hope it will not come back.. and one last question: if you became a soft-spoken person like me - will things change in you? I’m a soft-spoken person in real life in normal tone of my voice, so some people don’t recognize me that much, since I’m often silent when I don’t have to say something.

very true, hindi talaga ako comfortable sa most people on my school.. hindi naman pwede ako mag burst out bigla, pinipigilan ko kasi eh, kaso baka mag cause ng emotional stress (sabi pa ng isang friend ko nung HS) pag pinigilan yun ang mahirap kasi.. well, I do choose the people whom I’m comfortable with, kaso hindi na kami nagsasama parati kasi may nahanap na siyang new friends, kung hindi lang kami nag-away that wouldn’t happen! siya lagi kong kasama noon, ngayon hindi na kami nagsasama! kaya loner ulit ako, I hope I could find some new friends.. pag pray mo ako ha? for me, it’s better to be in a small group filled with people I like - simple lang pero mabait (just like you!)! I don’t like large groups to be honest, unless that group is filled with only the people I’m comfortable and close with!

Yeah, I agree Pareho tayo ng preferences, pero a big group is okay with me Sige. I will. Try to interact din with your classmates, especially yung sa tingin mong mukhang okay You know, in order to find the right one, you have to make a couple of mistakes

okay, I’ll try.. I need to lessen my shyness, but I’m not that shy I used to be, but I’m still that shy.. okay then, I’ll try talking to those people who looks okay enough - whom I think I can trust at yung hindi magulo or bad influenced! meron naman akong nakikitang ganun samin, kaso I haven’t talked to them yet and they have their own peers.. pero hindi ko ma-gets yung about getting mistakes, why do I have to make mistakes sometimes? mistakes for me to improve and how?

you have to try mmm. the way i see it kasi it’s like a trial and error thing. the feeling you have when it’s the first day of classes. by then you wouldn’t know who your friends are.. so you try to make friends with anyone. as the school year progresses, you meet other classmates aside from your first day friend.. and eventually, you’ll find the friends/ the group you’d want to be with getch? haha.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom.. tama ba? cge, I’ll try looking for that book next time I will go to National Bookstore! ok, forget about my first friend na lagi kong kasama last sem, the reason why she did it because she find her true peers, nag-uusap naman kami kaso seldom lang or kung may kailangan siya! senxa na kung mabagal ako pumick-up sa iba, but I’m trying to get your point naman.. well, thanks for your advice and I hope I could find my friends soon that I will always be with at sana hindi na mawala sila.. I’ll sleep na! iniwanan ko na cafe ko sa Cafe World kasi may chicken, spaghetti at strawberry cheesecake naman doon na naka-serve, mga 1000+ servings naman kaya mauubos yan pag hapon na mamaya.. good night! thank you so much sa time! pray for me ha? ok? ^^

buti na lang may work ka na! san ka nag tytyping job? sure, ako nga rin mamaya pa kong gabi mag YoVille, 2 days na ko d naglalaro nun.. ngayon lang me makakalaro kasi saturday at wala naman akong pasok ngayon!

d2 sa bahay namin mga 4years na rin akong nag tytyping job…minsan pag may mag-iinternet ok rin. kami pa lng kasi nagpapa-rent d2 sa baranggay namin. nakita mo na bahay ko sa yoville? balak ko rin ayusin ang sa pet ko.

ahhh…hehehe…may computer kami sa bahay so business ko iss typing job and computer rent…tumatanggap ako ng typing job d2 sa bahay…halimbawa thesis documents…biodata, resume, school project basta kahit anong ipagawa ng kapit bahay namin pwera lng sa illegal copying of documents.

ahhh gets ko na.. tinitype mo lahat ng pinapagawa ng mga customers sa inyo!! cguro yung most common na pinapagawa sa inyo ung resume and biodata!! siyempre bawal ang illegal copying kasi against sa laws un..

… and that’s it! I’ve decided to make this a blog post here in Multiply para hindi ko siya makalimutan! these advices really helped me! I hope I could find that book soon and finish it! and to those people who doesn’t like me, don’t mind them! :))
